The Empty Swing KKD
The Empty Swing
Beside me sits
That ever empty swing
With so few to share
What my heart needs to sing
I would almost welcome
Hate over the lack care
A crowded room
Over No one to share
I truly am at loss
Of the deeds
That have sown
So many unyielding seeds
I freely give
With no return
Upon my heart
Does painfully burn
Never a call
Without a need
I don't understand
My deserving deed
With each New Year
I pray a change to bring
But instead I'm left
With The Empty Swing

ღ God asked me how long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
