The Lament

I weep because I know
Just a speck of carbon in a diamond mine
Unable to form a crystal
To form a big enough wave to be seen
To leave something behind to be remembered
A legacy that has regard
Something significant to reach the heart
To touch the mind
To enter the soul
To be remembered by the multitudes
Yearning for what is in grasp almost touched
Then washed away by a big wave
Over-coated with love wrapped and cuddled
Nurtured by one's mind

To Last, to be remembered, unforgotten
To be the difference
