The Backyard Of My Life

Shadow Moon (Waiting For The Sky To Fall)

Shes been twisted and fed
Little spiders in her head
Leaving cobwebs to catch her dreams
Mr sandman insisted so softly he spoke
Left her to linger through the thick black smoke
A sign reads reality is not what it seems

waiting for the sky to fall
searching for the shadow moon
Breaking down a fire wall
orchids are all in bloom
Looking for love on a beautiful night
Whats done in the dark will be brought to the light

Government guys with brown beady eyes
Whisper wisecracks while
Trying to tell her you better believe what we say
Don't think twice there's no other way
Electric candles dance in a river of sound
Flying carpets rise up from under the ground

Waiting to take you anywhere
Sailing to the shadow moon
A million miles over there
setting sun sinks to soon
Lost in paradise on this wonderful night
Trying to hide from the morning light

Standing on a soapbox
Under the clock tower
Wearing her ruby red shoes
A spiral staircase of bubbles
Burst on the boy with the blues
Mr sandman calls on the clouds
Now is the time now is the hour

waiting for the sky to fall
searching for the shadow moon
Breaking down a fire wall
orchids are all in bloom
Looking for love on a beautiful night
Whats done in the dark will be brought to the light
