Broken confidence
I told you this
In confidence -
A secret
That should
Have never
Been repeated.
Want to
Give you
The benefit
of the doubt -
Perhaps
You didn't
read
The whole letter...
Maybe
You never saw,
"Please don't repeat."
But you told
My abusive
Parents
The secret
That should have
Stayed
With you and me...
You blabbed
To the two
I most wanted
Not to know.
And then
Came the
Downpour
Of yet more abuse.
