Come take my Hand
I look at an empty room that was filled with our tears and laughter.
I still see the imprint of your face upon the pillowcase.
There is an empty chair at the table.
It is hard to carry on now that you are gone.
I feel a void each time I look around.
Your smile is nowhere to be found.
A chill runs down my spine when I sit alone to dine,
It once was a place we shared in time.
The glow of your eyes was a glimpse of Paradise.
In my heart, you wait with an outreached hand.
Yet, the silence in our home, I can barely stand.
I bide my time and listen for the words, When
You say, "Come to take my hand."
