If I Could
Written by Cynthia Louise Baker Bogear

If I could make you love me really,
I would pay the price with my last kiss,
If I could feel a lover's touch,
My heart would finally be free of pain,
I desire the man that once loved me,
A man who searched for a forbidden key,
The one who wanted to love me softly,
For the man who stands before me hurts me,
He no longer searches for the key,
Love was once in his heart for me,
The hands that were once so soft,
Now the softness has gone away,
I wish that I knew what changed,
If I could I would erase the pain.
