I.M.KING, Silverback

As he slowly awakens, he thinks;
What,  what,  wait, where is this, where am I?
Black bamboo tree's surround, eating? I can not.
Where's my troop, all my children?
All the screeching and flailing about, the piercing sounds
His head, tiredness, and vision become clear.
Anger and violence-engulfs-enrages implodes, a tempest explodes within him
Ripping, shaking, tearing, pulling, pushing, shoving with his mighty strength
To no avail, can he get away from the moving room he is a captive within,
Before he surrenders, he re-engages all the power within him;
Colliding with the black bamboo trees, he pushes his way through.
In his hopelessness, the mighty Silverback escapes the captivity.
From the very protectors that are now the poacher's cruel.
He now heeds to his fathers' fathers father native heritage domicile,
The grasslands so thickened in deep greens and bamboo shoots.
Above in the mountain peaks in the clouds and skies of brilliant blues;
The Volcan rules, thunderous shaking of his kingdom
Renews his return to his homeland from whence taken
The young, Im, Silverback is greeted by his troop; family,
Leading Im immediately to his father, who lies near death.
Im did not know his father was injured when he was a capture,
He had been hit in the eye, with a dart, as his son was a subdued
See, Im was the target of a privateer who wanted a Silverback for his Zoo;
A young Silverback, with the Blood of Kings, would only do.
Knowing that his father's time is not long for him in this world;
Young Im's Heart pounds and skips as he races back to his father's side.
Im has never seen his Father in such a weakened and vulnerable state
As Im approaches his Father, he wipes the tears from his eyes and face;
Still keeping his Father, the King, in high regard, respect, and nobility
Im is signaled to his father's side, as his father says; "Come, kneel beside me,
I.M., like The King, I could not alone make you King unless a situation such as this proved
Your compassion, love, and honor for the family were the highest in quality; while governing.
Never be fearful that tears show weakness or shame, they show only you place the ones
Cared for in front of your own needs making them foremost.  Now with my last breath and duty;
I, The King, now make you King. You will be forever more known as I.M.KING Leader of the First
Kingdom of the Silverback."  His father's utterance, "I love you, my king, as his last bit of air escapes him."
Shall never go forgotten, nor his son's loss.

We cannot let these magnificent creatures of creation parish from our Earth.

The Mountain Gorillas are an extremely endangered species with only 970 in existence as of the last count in 2017.
The World Wildlife Fund, WWF, has different projects available to help the endangered species of choice.
I hope that this prose moves you enough to make a difference.
