Risque Lifestyle
I took my health for granted
Till it almost slipped away
Through no one's fault but mine alone
My lifestyle was risqué.
Eating too much of the wrong things
And going without rest
In conjunction, made me tired and worn
While worries kept me stressed.
But I made a new commitment
To do things differently
Knowing well that it was time to start
Taking better care of me.
I will leave off the fried chicken
And that buttered dinner roll
Since I've a new perspective now
With good health as my goal.
I will get myself to bed at night
And not stay up so late
That I may start my day off right
Refreshed and feeling great.
I will take note of the stressors
That bring on grief and strife
And rid myself the ones I can
To simplify my life.
So that's my plan of action
And it's now well underway
To regain the health I nearly lost
