You delight in the truth,
In the inward being;
Despising the uncouth,
That are blind not seeing.
You teach me the wisdom,
Within the secret heart;
That flows from Your Kingdom,
So that I may impart.
Purge me with the hyssop,
So that I shall be clean;
Let me drink from the cup,
Made pure as it had been.
Make me as white as snow,
Show the way to be glad;
To see the gladness flow,
Rejoicing and not sad.
Help me lift up my voice,
Hide Your face from my sin;
Enabled to rejoice,
For new life to begin.
Make a clean heart in me,
Renew a right spirit;
Giving insight to see,
What I will inherit.
Discard me not away,
Let Your Spirit remain;
Please do not let me stray,
And come to Your domain.
Restore to me the joy,
Building a foundation;
And never to destroy,
Hope in Your salvation.
I will teach transgressors,
Your ways to the sinners;
Not to be aggressors,
And become the winners.
For You will not delight,
To bid a sacrifice;
Help me do what is right,
Let this place not entice.
