I Choose to be Free
It is hard to have someone to turn their back.
A kind word is unheard, or unwanted, then left with a heart that's cracked.
I know I turn from bitterness and hate, that would eventually
Seal an unpleasant fate.
I have had my share of tragedy, loss, and pain of cruel reality.
When I leave this world, I won't become blind, it is my
Choice to be remembered as kind.
So turn your back on me, and remember I choose to
Set the petty deeds free, apart that will never be me.
And a quality that will set my spirit free.
So walk away, I'll remember this day, and be thankful
I didn't stay.
