A SAD BUT TRUE STORY

~A SAD BUT TRUE STORY~
A poem about my dyslexic friend. Other 3 poems about him
are "BETRAYAL", "BETRAYAL HURTS" And
"SHADES OF BLUE" written in 2005

When love hurts there is nothing in the world that can help.
Hurting heart, unbearable pain and there is no escape.
Hard to distinguish between love and other emotions.
Negative emotions mixed with love become pure poison.

It was not his fault that he was dyslexic and had hard times.
He was a good father to his kids and he was a loyal husband.
Maybe he was not so romantic enough to send roses to her
but that was not a good reason to have many men on the NET.

She was once slim when they fell in love and got married.
Now she hates herself for the heavyweight she has put on.
She had two things on her mind that pushed her in the NET
and those two things destroyed her marriage in the end.

She was curious how it would be to have sex with other men;
would any man like to have sex with her after looking at her?
Her search for a man took her to the NET and man after man
she tried so many men but found no one to meet her for sex.

He found out what she was doing and was deeply hurt.
That was the beginning of the end of their marriage.
Their two young kids are now kids of a broken home.
He is with his Mum and she is still trying men on the net.

If only she kept love away from the lust for other men,
she would have loved her husband for what he was
and would have saved the children from a life sentence.
Negative factors mixed with love destroyed their marriage.

UPDATE 2008:
My friend re-married and has a Son. His Ex-wife is
Godmother. She has found a man who lives with her. 2 kids
are well looked after in turn. There seems to be a happy
ending to this sad story or so it seems.
