Musings by The Poet Loriet
Head Over Heels
Look at the pretty lady
in the delicate Chinese slippers
as she trips on them,
flip-flapping up the stairs,
dark hair crescendoing
down
down
down
tangling and twisting
underneath her as
scarlet red letters
are written in blood,
trickling, pooling
on white Berber
as her bare feet,
pink toenails,
wave in the air-
and she eats a
freshly-killed crow
upside down.
