Valley of the Mild

In the solitude, I feel the hour embracing my heart.
It is the moment when the weight of burdens parts.
There is a beacon that guides me to still waters.
I am one who walks with His son's and daughters.
One day His Angels will take my hand, and I will leave the land.
I will see the purity of my Father's light, I will walk away from the cold of the night.
There is a shepherd who tends sheep, His watchful eye protects their sleep.
His loving hand holds the gentle lamb, I walk the path as His child, in the valley of the mild.

(King James Bible: John10:14 "I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep and am known of mine.")
