for some family is
hearts
secure arms
compassion
words that are warm and heal minds
for some family is
brokenness
fists
alienation
words that maim and steal peace of mind
why is there the ache
the need
for family
belonging
connection
different definitions arise
for us all
through out experience
I pretend sometimes
I know the definitions
but I also pretend
I'm an orphan
because
I know I have been left
by the wayside
and I don't know why in the world
I would want to enter in
anyway
to this family
it doesn't adhere
to any definition
in any dictionary
there shouldn't be any rules
nor compliance tests
when I look at the vast number of homeless people
and wars
I begin to understand
there is little family
humanity or family--
what a concept..............
