Build and Inspire 11/08/00
Escaping from the depths of hell
running through halls and alleys
where demons dwell
hearts cardiac while vision lack
can't see the proper flow of life
through the buddha bless
blinding your steps
thinking it ease the stress
hold up;
give your lungs a rest
from the pollution in the constitution
40 acres and a mule
my people were promised restitution
for our forefather's sweat and blood contribution
to this U.S. institution...
do you overstand our evolution...
of growth and development...
antennas are budding...
mentally learning...
souls yearning to harness
the internal burning...
spirit overtaking the flesh...
knowledge is power
time to build and inspire;
no more political unrest
so I can stop wearing a full body vest...
praying I don't get shot in the head or neck...
just for walking the streets,
my feet are tired,
my brain is wired with drama and dilemmas;
the cycle is about to repeat itself
how can I stop the self-destruct plot
too late...
now I'm in a pine box
flesh decaying and organs beginning to rot...
it's too late for me...
so here is a little mental note from me to you...
Aspire to Inspire, before you expire!
