When you come together, Each of us has a hymn; That our tongues gather, Giving spiritual vim.
It gives revelation, Letting all things done build; Through interpretation, Our spirit is filled.
If anyone would speak, Utters a foreign tongue; Ensure that you can seek, To construe what is flung.
Make them to keep silent, If no one understands; Interpreting absent, That inclusion demands.
For revelations said, To others sitting there; Speaking should not instead, Be silent not to share.
For you can prophesy, So that each of us learn; With encouraging why, And to what we will earn.
God is not confusion, Rather as God of peace; Who has a solution, That contradictions cease.
Your women keep silence, Not permitted to speak; Obey, no defiance, Rather humbled and meek.
If desire to learn, Then they must ask their spouse; For the knowledge to earn, When they get to the house.
A woman to proclaim, Speaking out in the church; Is putting her to shame, Perceiving what they search.
It should be as prescribed, Through service of the Word; As in Scripture subscribed,
Comprehended as heard. Vote for this poem
