Have you noticed that when someone we love dies
We are so busy mourning their demise
That we tend to forget what did not die
So their achievements we tend to deny.
They leave behind a legacy of their own
For instance like the kindness they have shown,
The helping hand even when not asked for
Done willingly as they did not keep score.
They have taught us in all so many ways
Never to discourage but to always praise,
They taught us obedience and patience too
Simple but important things that we can do.
They shared memories of their childhood days
And told us how things were different those days,
All their life the love that they have spread
Well these things live on they are not dead.
So let us keep their legacy alive
Follow in their footsteps make it survive.
