Know about the grace of God,

And giving to the church;

For to honor and laud,

But donations to search.

For in a severe test,

Of affliction and pain;

Your giving is the best,

To satisfy again.

An abundance of joy,

Of generous givers;

Overflows to employ,

Through the cheerful rivers.

Give unto your way,

As I can testify;

Affording of the day,

For God to glorify.

Christ begs for the favor,

Taking part in relief;

That He is your Savior,

In your faithful belief.

 It is not expected,

Sacrificing all funds;

Not to be neglected,

Fulfilling your errands.

We must urge that you start,

Perform an act of grace;

By giving from the heart,

How much you can embrace.

This is why I beseech,

Your love to acknowledge;

Excel in faith and speech,

With wisdom and knowledge.

Prove unto all others,

Your love is genuine;

For sisters and brothers,

To maintain discipline.

For if you are ready,

And is acceptable;

Not to become greedy

But what you are able.
