TIME TO GO TO SLEEP

TIME TO GO TO SLEEP

Hush now children it is time to go to sleep
So I do not want to hear another peep,
The stockings are hung and the tree is dressed
I am sure Santa will be more than impressed.

The sleigh will land upon the house roof
And Rudolph will hold it firm with his hoof,
The chimney is swept to keep Santa clean
Can`t have him dirty you know what I mean.

Santa`s milk and mince pies lay upon the plate
I hope enjoying his snack won`t make him late,
The carrots for the reindeers are also there
They can eat them before they take to the air.

The presents he`ll leave beneath the lit tree
Lots of lovely presents for you and for me,
Back in his sleigh after milk and mince pie
Once more he can soar into the night sky.
