I urge you as exiles, Keep away from desires; Of those fleshy lifestyles, That temptation acquires.
They do battle with the soul, You must maintain good conduct; With righteousness in control, How Jesus Christ would instruct.
Let others see your good deeds, That is glorifying God; Catering to other needs, Showing Him honor and laud.
Be subject to laws of man, Remember God is supreme; Abiding to what they plan, For the Lord controls their scheme.
God will punish if done wrong, And will praise those who do good; As He will make them headstrong, If they perform as they should.
Live as free people of God, Freedom not to do evil; Rather to honor and laud, Contrary to the devil.
Love all of the believers, Fear God and honor the King; Comfort all who are grievers, For the hope that God will bring.
Be subject to your masters, Not just as good and gentle; Though their plans are disasters, God gives you an acquittal.
For this God does find favor, As someone who does endure; Because Christ is your Savior, And all evils He will cure.
For to this you have been called, Since Jesus suffered for you; As His Spirit cleansed where flawed,
If you are faithful and true. Vote for this poem
