When i die don't place my remains in a place where my family and friends can go to remind them of the pain
Instead burn my flesh to ash and remember me as you once did in the past
Don't want to be buried inside an overcrowded cemetary
Sprinkle my dust in a place thats legendary
Bring me to the ocean where my forefathers rest, place my remains in a place thats sacred
Some where i won't have to worry or dispair, cause i'm surrounded by souls that can explain so many things that are unclear
Like why so many didn't survive the ride, or what happened to our African Pride?
Were we sold by our own? shipped away from our only home, dethroned, and completely overthrown, or was there some form of revolt? spears against bullets, bows against rocks, or were we just shipped like livestock, branded like cattle, chained and shackled to go pick cotton and grow tobacco?
Why didn't the anglo-saxons just let our people go?
So when my heart pumps it's final blood and my lungs exhales their last breath bury me in a place where the sky is always blue and the water is always wet.
