Cardnal's Flight

A pair of beautiful Cardinals stood on my windowsill.
The hills lined in blue spruce pines define the snows outer line.
I believe the Colorful Cardinals gather within their graceful limbs when storms walk in.
Creatures of winter's white become a welcome sight. Cardinals make their homebound flight.
Footprints lead to the field of silence in the dusky hue of night.
The circling wind moves swiftly on the prowl. When twilight's lone wolf howls.
Certain freedom cries out in midnight's hour when snow will gently shower.
In that isolated moment you can feel the freedom of nature's embracing power...
