Walkin on Air

Sailors yet Family

‘Keep calm! Keep calm! Thou vagrant ocean wave!'
The frantic captain cried fearing for life;
‘Thou cans't in such pugnacious ways behave:
cruise I do this sea, like I play my fife
my schooner proudly rides thine swells and tides;
shalt thou not respect God's choosing of my sails?
Whither I'm led in windy gale he guides
and thus he plots for me yon harmless trails.
Think not to crush or perhaps to destroy
my sturdy vessel or its faithful crew,
Poseidon vast protection shall deploy:
my liege-lord evil intent out shall spew!
Aye, though we be but sailors of the sea
yet his servants and family are we.
