Give thanks to the Lord, For His steadfast love; Beloved and adored, From Heaven above.
For His love endures, Through us forever; All the woes it cures, And will not sever.
Give thanks to the God, Above other gods; The true God we laud, All others are frauds.
To Him who alone, Does such great wonders; Done on our own, Are merely blunders.
For His steadfast love, Endures forever; That helps us thereof, With an endeavor.
He made the Heaven, As we understand; With love as given, Through spoken command.
He spread out the earth, Above the waters; Lets us to give birth, To sons and daughters.
He made the great light, Through the moon and sun; Wisdom and insight, On what He has done.
The sun rules by day, Moon and stars by night; For a chance that they, Allow to use sight.
For His steadfast love, Endures forever; Giving us thereof,
For ceasing never. Vote for this poem
