'' For Madness They Have A Flair ''

Another theory bites the dust,
We are older than first thought,
As we delve into Earth's crust,
We're going to be left distraught.

Our origins here mean not a thing,
We should live for the here and now,
Oh yes, they do, you'll hear them sing,
Our research you must allow.

Billions wasted over many years,
Searching for, The Truth?
In the meantime, shedding tears,
People starving is so uncouth.

Travelling into outer space,
Does no-one ask them why?
It cannot sustain the human race,
In that environment we will die.

While they search for alien life,
Our planet is falling apart,
The human being, the cause of strife,
We are ripping out Earth's heart.

A particle, they think they may have found,
The theorists all applaud,
It really must be so profound,
They've named it after God.

Billions of pounds are frittered away,
Like our origins don't ask where,
Theories change from day to day,
