 Romantic Notions By Ivy Rose      144222 Poems Read

Inside that empty chamber,
that unfilled space,
I carry your memory inside my own.

Even when the Sun shines
in another place, another world
I see your light above all lights.

Where my heart carried you,
you are now part of a greater sky,
a part of a larger, more intense universe.

Yet, you will ever be a part of me
hidden deep in thought and mind;
and in the loss of my orange sherbet sunset.

Where I carry you is silent,
stirred only by the breeze of my faith
to dwell until our lives become one again.

I carry the Moon and the lasting stars
as the most radiant of embellishments
to adorn you with when we are reunited.
