When Stones Cry

When stones cry out it will be a dark day
Should the redeemed of the Lord have nothing to say
If we should hold our peace before the wisdom of man
Who rush to discredit what they don't understand
Let world religions denounce my King
But as for me and my house, we will sing
Holy, holy is the Lord; my rock and shield
From every mountain, ocean, sky, and field
On every street corner, interstate, and highway
No stones shall ever utter my praise
What about you; will you praise Him too?
Or let dusty old stones take place for you
He who came in the name of the Lord
Paid a price that no man could afford
Even if another could have set me free
He might have for the righteous but not for me
Possibly for a good man one might dare to die
But none for one as wretched as I
What Jesus did for me, no other would do
His mercy is great and His love is true
His grace is sufficient, His power limitless
No stone shall replace my declaring this
I was sin, I was hopeless, and I was destitute
In the lions pit wearing a hamburger suit
Satan would have my soul for lunch
But the Holy Spirit invited me to brunch
Instead of grapes of wrath, it was bread of life
The stone rolled away and exposed the Light
Some people call me crazy, but that's okay
The stones know to get out of the way
The only stone in my life is the Rock of ages
The chief corner stone of the Holy pages
Praise brings His favor, power, and might
Praise lifts from darkness into marvelous light
Should you keep silent, without a doubt
The stone immediately would cry out
