Do not be deceived,

That you see and hear;

Any gift received,

What it would appear.

Every good gift,

Perfect from above;

Spirit will uplift,

With goodness and love.

Down from the Father,

As a dazzling light;

Through Christ your Brother,

Giving you insight.

For of His own will,

He brought forth the Word;

Of truth to instill,

Each time it is heard.

We are the firstfruits,

Being new creatures;

That faith grow deep roots,

Taught by the Scriptures.

So be quick to hear,

While slow to speak;

Let not anger near,

Be humble and meek.

The anger of man,

Makes no righteousness;

And disrupts the plan,

Sending blessedness.

Avoid filthiness,

For saving your soul;

Receive humbleness,

Let Jesus control.

So be a doer,

Not just a hearer;

As a pursuer,

And an adherer.

For faith that is pure,

Perfect before God;

Allows Him to cure,

Where you have been flawed.
