He is the image of God,
Firstborn of all creation;
To whom we honor and laud,
And has given salvation.
By Him all things created,
In Heaven and here on earth;
Nothing as deviated,
When giving us our birth.
He is before all the things,
Holding all things together;
Goodness and mercy, He brings,
Wherever we may gather.
He is the head of the church,
The beginning and the end;
Answers us to what we search,
Because He is our friend.
As the firstborn from the dead,
With everything in might;
The One that Satan does dread,
Whenever He is in sight.
All of the fullness of God,
In Him who was pleased to dwell;
Because He has not been flawed,
Never condemned into hell.
To Himself reconciled,
All things in earth and Heaven;
For not being defiled,
That righteousness is given.
Reconciled through the cross,
And through God by making peace;
Our gain through His blood loss,
By means of love not to cease.
Once who had a hostile mind,
Alienated what we had done;
Reconciled to be kind,
Thanks to the blood of the Son.
Continue to be steadfast,
Keeping the faith and the hope;
In salvation ever last,
With endurance for to cope.
