 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

The Lord is my God,

I will exalt Him;

To honor and laud,

With all of my vim.

I will praise His name,

For what He has done;

And also proclaim,

All about His Son.

Plans have formed of old,

As faithful and sure;

For the Scriptures told,

Of righteous and pure.

He made the city,

A heap in ruin;

Once that was pretty,

Because of their sin.

The palace no more,

Never be rebuilt;

Since it an abhor,

For they had no quilt.

But the strong people,

Will glorify God;

Praise in the temple,

Confess being flawed.

For nations will fear,

God as a stronghold;

Fastness that is near,

To those who are old.

Of those in distress,

Sheltered from the storm;

To comfort and bless,

Covered to keep warm.

A shade from the heat,

That will always shield;

As to rest your feet,

From work in the field.

Heat for a dry place,

The shade from a cloud;

The Lord sheds His grace,

And quiets the crowd.
