Calm Retrieve
I was about to chase my cat when it scurried up a tree.
Miss Alley Cat climbs high and looks down to see all she can see.
She seems to love this freedom, she climbs in feline delight.
She jumps from limb to limb from late morning till early night.
Now, coyotes invite the moon, as they begin to prowl, the
Tune of the night is carried in their hungry howl.
Miss Alley cat comes running from her favorite tree and walks
To the front door and enters quickly with me.
On warm and sultry Summers Eve, my cat and I take our leave.
Home is where comfort welcomes a calm and safe retrieve.
