 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

The gods did not make Heaven,

They shall perish from the earth;

If something they have given,

Will never hold any worth.

It is He who made the earth,

By His power and wisdom;

Establishing a new birth,

Of His heavenly kingdom.

For by His understanding,

Had expanded out Heaven;

For His Word was commanding,

Direction it had given.

When He utters of His voice,

A tumult in the waters;

As you hear the earth rejoice,

From its sons and daughters.

From earth He makes the mist rise,

He makes lightning for the rain;

As clouds are filling the skies,

Thunder is sounding its pain.

The wind brings forth its treasure,

As man is stupid and foolish;

With false gods for his pleasure,

Such people that are mulish.

They are worthless vanity,

And a work of delusion;

A touch of insanity,

Within their own seclusion.

In due time they shall perish,

But not the true living God;

Whom we should always cherish,

Giving Him honor and laud.

Because He had formed all things,

Promising we inherit;

Rewarding for what one brings,

With their trust and their merit.

Gather bundles from the ground,

You who dwell under a siege;

Plea to the Lord to abound,

By giving you some prestige.

For the shepherds are boneheads,

The pastors became brutal;

Scattered flocks while in beds,

When awaken become futile.
