Spring is walking Near

My eyes look to the heavens at the starlight wonder.
In the small hours of dawn the thirst of the land
drinks the rain while waltzing to the thunder.
A simple gust of wind exhaled its breath and woke
The land from winter's sleeping death.
Near the mountains the lightning flash seeing wildlife dash.
The sun looks through the clouds,
and gifts the sky with rainbows proud.
Say it softly or speak it loud,
the winter's chill fade to Springtimes crowd.
Cast away the looming shroud.
Seedlings hope for returning heat, to bloom beyond past seasons gloom.
I open up my heart with cheer, knowing Spring is walking near.
