I have written these things,
To the ones who believe;
What the Son of God brings,
So that you may receive.
So that you may then know,
You have eternal life;
With confidence to show,
As you cope with the strife.
Confidence that we got,
That whenever we ask;
Assistance to be sought,
While doing a task.
According to His will,
He hears us when we pray;
Enabled to instill,
If willing to obey.
If we know that He hears,
To whatever we ask;
Soothes to calm our fears,
Results we can bask.
If one commits a sin,
Not resulting in death;
Confess to cleanse within,
You will have righteous breath.
God gives mercy and grace,
Granting him forgiveness;
Through confession they face,
Ridding repulsiveness.
Unrighteousness is sin,
But not leading in death;
If confessed you begin,
Soon after your last breath.
You were Fathered by God,
Who never commits sin;
But because you are flawed,
Then He must discipline.
God will protect the one,
So evil cannot touch;
For your faith through the Son,
That He has loved so much.
The Son will soon appear,
For giving us insight;
When non-believers fear,
And the righteous delight.
