 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Is not this the fast that I choose,

For bonds of wickedness to lose;

To undo the straps of the yoke,

That seems to tighten as to choke.

For letting the oppressed to go free,

Opening the eyes as to see;

By breaking the bonds of the sin,

When confessing to cleanse within.

Is it not for sharing your bread,

Allow the starving nearly dead;

Bring the homeless into your house,

So that they are served by your spouse.

Those that are naked cover them,

Do not ridicule or condemn;

From yourself do not ever hide,

Flashing your flesh in having pride.

Then shall your light shines like the dawn,

And the wickedness will be gone;

As your body speedily heals,

Know how flowing righteousness feels.

Your righteousness goes before you,

While purity keeps you true;

The glory of the Lord your shield,

For the abundant blessings to yield.

Then you will be able to call,

Because the Lord will then befall;

He will answer as you cry out,

That will be shedding any doubt.

For here I am to take away,

Allow me no longer to stray;

Speaking wickedness that would blame.

Never in vain to use His name.

So, pour out the hunger and thirst,

In your life that the Lord is first;

And satisfy His desire,

On the things He would require.

Then shall the light fade out the dark,

Wherever that you may embark;

The gloom to be like noonday bright,

That fades away from glory light.
