Sunday's Peace
Sunday morning enters as the street light dims.
Humming " Rock of Ages, " one of my favorite hymns.
A peaceful rise in the calm northern sky.
The church rings out its steeple's bells.
Light and reverence gather within a prayer to forgive our sins.
The choir looks to each face and sings of heaven's grace.
There is a simple calm as Pastor Philip reads from Psalms
The subtle peace in sweet release blesses sorrows.
The sermon of this day is the path of today and tomorrow.
So lay your turmoil to rest, and sail on Jordan's best.
The light of fellowship will shine and comfort us with the warm divine.
Good morning, on this day, may peace and happiness come your way.
