The Specialist

I thought about this long and hard
Realistically surveyed the situation
Before I made the choice to offer
My service to the nation

I'm the man who shouts the warning
When the police invade a house
They all stand in line
Each as quiet as a mouse
Until I get the signals
It's time for their release
then through my megaphone I shout
Armed Police, Armed Police, Armed Police.

I choose my position carefully
Though I don't stand too near
But by careful voice modulation
Ensure that they all hear,
Now there's no excuse
For them not knowing any more
They'll soon be using the ram
To batter down the front door.

I got this job by merit
Rehearse every single day
Choosing the style and volume
For the words I have to say.
Oh I'm a vital member
Of an elite peace keeping band
Who ensure safety and stability
The length and breadth of this land.

And I must confess
I get I huge adrenaline release
Each time I shout officially
A-R-M-E-D -P-O-L-I-C-E
