 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Tell me, love of my heart and soul,

Where are you pasturing your sheep;

How do you keep them in control?

Where are they resting as to sleep?

You wander around by the flocks,

While being their companions;

They are following as one walks,

Even when riding the stallions.

One of the beautiful women,

Thoughts of while watching the flock;

Her hair like fire in the sun,

Shining brightly as she would walk.

Just like a mare as a stallion,

So gentle and affectionate;

A lover and a companion,

Reflects when being passionate.

Ruby colored cheeks and neck of gold,

While wearing a string of pearls;

Beauty of a man looking bold,

Envious of the other girls.

A rhinestone suit studded with gold,

To wear to the feast by the king;

A banquet that I have been told,

To celebrate coming of spring.

The king gave nard with a fragrance,

An aroma that was seductive;

And having such an influence,

A scent that makes one attractive.

A fragrant pouch of myrrh for my love,

Spending the night between my breast;

Clusters of henna blooms thereof,

Makes you relaxed upon my chest.

Oh, how beautiful you are, love,

So pleasant like a bed of green;

Having eyes that are like a dove,

Such a beauty that I have seen.

Such a handsome man that you are,

You are being such a delight;

Shining glory bright as a star.

A pleasant vision for my sight.

Lush foliage covers our bed,

Beams of cedars used for the house;

I ensure that you will be fed,

As I care for my lovely spouse.
