 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

Unless the Lord builds a house,

The builders labor in vain;

Living in peace with a spouse,

No leaking roof in the rain.

Unless the Lord guards the city,

The watchman watches in vain;

Many will not take pity,

When the watchman wakes with pain.

In vain you get up early,

And wind up staying up late;

No longer lets eagerly,

In making your life so great.

Not working hard for enough,

Having enough food to eat;

Making life even more tough,

In getting shoes for your feet.

Whom God loves will He give sleep,

For the body to revive;

Refreshed and ready to leap,

Motivate to keep alive.

We do have a heritage,

Comes from the fruit of the womb;

From the Lord reaching the age,

To be rescued from the tomb.

We will receive His reward,

On that resurrection day;

The time we will see the Lord,

Erasing when gone astray.

Like the arrows in the hand,

A warrior of sons born;

Disciplined to his command,

Obedient to sojourn.

Happy is the man who filled,

His quiver is full of them;

Because the Lord has instilled,

For others He will condemn.

Such men will not be ashamed,

While they speak at the gate;

Blasphemy that they proclaimed,

That shall be sealing their fate.
