Life Springs New

There was a mist that traveled across the lake.
I saw it lift shortly after daybreak.
The hazing mist would bend and twist then and now, I don't know how.
Like a low land cloud, it's silence screamed loud, it was so very proud.
Now it is gone the sun shines bright, but I still feel the haunt of the misty night.
I walk to meadows fair to see the light of Spring's repair.
Green moss at the willows base is sketching in a soft and adventurous trace.
I hear the chatter of spring in the song the Cardinals sing.
A light and airy drift has helped sad spirits lift.
See the land Spring forth as eyes view a velvet hue.
The light of seasons awakes the dew, color of a day in when life springs new.
