I give you thanks, O Lord, Within all of my heart; To be in one accord, Enabled to impart. For all I sing Your praise, I bow towards Your temple; With hands and voice, I raise, Showing all the people. I give thanks to Your name, Because of steadfast love; I will always proclaim, Of Your Kingdom above. Your faithfulness excels, Exalting of all things; While Your Spirit dwells, With the gladness He brings. You are above all things, Both in Your name and Word; The praises that one sings, Brings joy as it is heard. On the day that I call, You have answered to me; To save me from my fall, Strengthens my soul to see. All the kings of the earth, Shall be giving You thanks; For giving so much worth, More than all of the banks. For they heard from your lips, The words flowed off Your tongue; As they taste a few sips, Of the love that is flung. They shall sing of the ways, For great is Your glory; Greater than all their days, Written in their story. For though the Lord is high, He regards the lowly; Even the haughty may cry, Because they are so lonely. Though I walk through trouble, You still preserve my life; Rescued from the rubble, Comforting through the strife. Copyright © 2019 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
