IF only for a While
When lost health has drained the wealth, and slows the run to walk.
I'm thankful that no matter how fast or slow I continue to come and go.
Forward through the winding path life echos loud and clear.
So rest those tired feet, and find some comfort laced with cheer.
When rivers are full and flowing, soothe the restless soul.
The waters wash away the stains of ruthless unsettling pain.
You may find a quiet mind, you might see kindness in a smile,
Let your heart be your guide, and let your worries ride afar.
Hold strength and faith to travel the final mile.
It may bring the shelter of that loving smile, if only for a while.
