'' Our Future Is Now ''
The situation's dire,
Our planet is dying,
Our world is on fire,
The surface is frying.
Global warming's the cause,
Caused mainly by us,
Yet still we don't pause,
Nor kick up a fuss.
It's all we forsake,
If action's not taken,
Yet we continue to take,
Will we never awaken.
Due to our acts,
All around us are failing,
We are hiding the facts,
Close to death we are sailing.
The powers that be,
Are being uncouth,
Saying they don't agree,
At best is uncouth.
Everything we need,
Is under attack,
If we do not pay heed,
What's dead can't come back.
What we're suffering is mild,
Think of the unborn,
Show respect for the child,
Why treat them with scorn.
We're all totally aware,
Yet we don't want a row,
We're showing we don't care,
