THE SIMPLICITY AND FITNESS

THE SIMPLICITY AND FITNESS

Wherein lies the meaning that holds success
In whose hands do we find the reins
I can't recall but I must confess
I need all the answers and the remains

Possibly I left a few notes down by the swing
A place where I wander to read
Down by the creek bed where birds chirp and sing
Where I lie in a field of pokeweed

Just lend me the scale, if you'll be so kind
So that I can weigh the sum of this and that
Answers with meanings which I hope to find
Amid the green clover under a floppy ole hat

Barefoot and carefree, I'll roam there to read
To look for lost secrets of success
Where nature is happily sewing its various seed
And I've found the answers to simplicity and finesse
