Windy Hill

Standing by the hilltop a gust of wind takes my scarf away.
I watched it's movement as it danced and swayed.
There was a bit of freedom in the dance of the winds apprehension,
A subtle act of its extension.
I turn to walk away and the scarf falls to my feet.
Returning to my care with the touch of the Northwind's flair.
My thoughts linger on the hill where my thoughts reaches out to you still.
A lifetime of togetherness brings separation a foreboding chill.
Please, God, keep him safe in your loving will, my prayer for you on this windy hill.
