You follow what you have been taught,
Conduct with faith, patience and love;
Purpose and endurance be sought,
From the Lord our God above.
Persecutions and afflictions,
Sufferings that came on to me;
Yet I block sinful addictions,
Satan continues to decree.
What persecutions I endured,
Yet the Lord has rescued from all;
That is why I do rest assured,
He picks me up if I do fall.
Those who will live a godly life,
Will find themselves persecuted;
And be given toils and strife,
Animosities deep-rooted.
Evil people and seducers,
Impostors even become worse;
They will then become producers,
Causing them to begin to curse.
Deceiving and being deceived,
False prophets continue to lure;
As their doctrine that is received,
Causing you to be immature.
Continue in what you have learned,
Firmly believe what has been taught;
Because of all that you have earned,
Comes from the Lord that you have sought.
You know that since your childhood,
You have known the sacred Scriptures;
As you grew up you understood,
When you were taught by the teachers.
God is able to give wisdom,
Having your faith through Jesus Christ;
Of the salvation from His Kingdom,
And how much you have sacrificed.
All Scripture is God inspired,
And profitable for teaching;
The man of God is desired,
For increasing of outreaching.
