 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
You were dead in trespass and sin,
In which the ways that you once walked;
Being so corrupted within,
With the foul language when you talked.

You were walking down the wrong path,
Following the course of this world;
Not worried of the aftermath,
All of the things that you have hurled.

You followed the prince of the air,
Desired the power of earth;
Disobedience to declare,
Audacity of total worth.

We all once lived in these rages,
Lusting of fleshy desires;
The same has been through the ages,
Of what a craving requires.

Desires of body and mind,
By nature as children to choose;
Merely like the rest of mankind,
Thinking of what you got to lose.

But God rich in mercy and grace,
Because of having a great love;
He loves us so much to embrace,
Show us His caring from above.

Even when we were dead in sin,
We were made alive together;
With Christ by grace as you begin,
As salvation coming hither.

For He has raised us up with Him,
To seat in Heavenly places;
No longer strife for feeling grim,
Under His wing He embraces.

In coming ages, He might show,
Immeasurable wealth of grace;
Through His glory that we will know,
While we look upon His face.

Through our faith that grace has saved,
Not from works that no one can boast;
But avoiding sin that enslaved,
Being cleansed by the Holy Ghost.
