Obedient
I need to be obedient and I
Want to be obedient,
He is not asking for Sinless
Perfection,
Rather, He is asking that I
Be obedient and faithful
And He Himself is obedient and
He Himself is faithful,
He is not trying to start drama
And neither am I,
We just want to be obedient and
We want to follow the rules for
His sake,
Listening to Him can help us to
Stay out of trouble and His
Voice can calm anyone down,
I am asking to be obedient to
Him as well as those who He has
Placed over us,
He is not asking me to be
Sinless but He is asking me to
Be obedient, which is what I
Want and need to be,
He Himself was obedient even
To the point of the cross and
I can be obedient due to the
Power of the Holy Spirit,
He Himself was obedient and
I, too, can be obedient as a
Result of His authority and
His sovereignty.
