Sometimes we deliberately go out into the world
And try to leave our mark with our accomplishments,
Quest,
journeys,
and adventures…
To sometimes fall just shy of achieving greatness;
But then there are those folks that take a different approach…
Never truly looking for fame or recognition
Just doing what they felt was appropriate
Even to their own detriment;
Take the men that beat and kilt Emmett Till…
If that never happened we still might be living under Jim Crow;
How about the bus boycotts…
If that never happened we might still be forced to sit in the back of the bus;
Or
What about M.L.K…
If it wasn't for his assassination sacrifice
we still might be living in separation,
my bad I meant segregation…
So just because bad things happen
Doesn't mean they didn't make a difference…
The difference is when good people do good things
For no reason but one…
