River Sleeps

Twisting, turning the waters dance, bringing the shores moist romance.
Should two lovers perchance a glance, the speed of night will have a chance.
Life finds a dream of dreams when winter's gale whips and wails.
The rolling waters sleep in the muddy waters deep.
Toast to the moment when ice and wind rejoice, hear the winds tender voice.
When the river slowly creeps to find a bed to lay its head.
When waters roll be sure as winter sings the river sound asleep.
Oh hush and let your heart rise in subtle moments when the soul drifts on high.
